  • Look Inside

We observed two cases of monocular ischemic syndrome with retinopathy, iris rubeosis and secon-dary glaucoma. The first case, a 67-year-old male, was initially diagnosed as preproliferative diabetic retinopathy. Rapid progressive iris rubeosis was detected in his left eye 3 months later. Further examinations led to detection of ipsilateral com-mon carotid occlusion. The second case, a 57-year-old male, was referred to us due to signs of right orbital apex syndrome. We observed iris rubeosis, hypotension in the central retinal artery and retarded choroidal circulation in his right eye. Malignant lymphoma in the right orbit was identified as the cause of this syndrome.
