種々の難治性角膜疾患に対する非含水性ソフトコンタクトレンズによる治療

Treatment of severe keratopathies by nonhydrated soft contact lens

　兎眼性角膜障害4例4眼，三叉神経麻痺性角膜炎1例1眼，脳幹部病変により兎眼に三叉神経麻痺を合併した角膜症4例5眼，糖尿病性角膜症3例6眼，甲状腺眼症による角膜炎1例1眼，下眼瞼部分欠損による角膜炎1例1眼，ベノキシール®の乱用よると思われる角膜炎1例2眼の計15例20眼に対して．非含水性ソフトコンタクトレンズを1日12〜16時間装用させ．グルタチオン製剤と抗生剤，あるいは抗菌剤の点眼による併用治療を行い，満足すべき結果を得た。使用したソフトコンタクトレンズは管理面での留意点はあるものの，難治性のexposure keratitisやneuroparalytic，neurotrophic keratitisの治療に試みられてよいと考えられた。

We treated 20 eyes, 15 cases, with severe ker-atopathy by nonhydrated soft contact lens wear for 12 to 16 hours daily. All the cases had resisted conventional treatment modalities. The ker-atopathy was secondary to lagophthalmos 5 eyes, diabetes mellitus 6 eyes, trigeminal nerve palsy 5 eyes and others 4 eyes. Patients were treated, addi-tionally, by instillation of glutathione and pertinent antibiotics. Improvement or clinical cure of ker-atopathy resulted in 17 eyes, 85%.
