I.はじめに
眼球運動は,外界からの視覚情報に対して生体がおこなう生理現象であると同時に,その障害は,中枢神経系病変のIndicatorとして,重要な臨床的意義を有する。
この眼球運動の客観的記録方法として,従来は機械的方法,光学的方法等が用いられてきた。然しながら,これらの方法はいずれも難点があり,充分実用化されるに至らなかった。
Two-dimensional eye movements were made reproducible on a cathode ray tube by vector-EOG. This method has been successfully employed in recording various two-dimensional movements in normal subjects. The recording is not yet perfectly accurate but the results so far obtained are encouraging.
Cases of paralytic squint, nystagmus and amblyopia were examined with interesting results.
Vector-EOG is a new method studying the physiology and pathology of eye movements which allows them to be recorded dynamical-ly, showing movement in more than one direc-tion plotted against time.
