Abstract Purpose:To evaluate morphological changes of foveal retina and choroid after implantable collamer lens(ICL)implantation for myopic eyes.

Methods:Foveal retinal thickness and subfoveal choroidal thickness of 47 eyes of 24 patients were measured with spectral-domain optical coherence tomography to compare early postoperative values with the baseline.

Results:Mean foveal retinal thickness were 248.5±28.9/246.6±28.9/247.5±26.3/248.7±30.0 μm at the baseline, 1 day, 1 week and 1 month, and mean subfoveal choroidal thickness were 214.3±79.6/215.2±82.2/215.3±78.6/215.4±77.9 μm respectively. Each postoperative value showed no statistical change from the baseline(Bonfferoni/Dunn test).

Conclusion:ICL implantation lead to no morphological changes in thickness of the foveal retina and choroid for at least 1 month.
