Purpose:Retinal thickness can be measured by optical coherence tomography(OCT). We compared the mapping program of retinal thickness measured by two instruments. Method:We used Humphrey OCT 2000 and EG-Scanner. Slide glasses of known thickness were measured by the two instruments. Further, retinal mapping was produced and compared by both instruments in 23 eyes. They comprised normal eyes, diabetic retinopathy and central retinal artery occlusion. Findings:Measurement of slide glass thickness by two instruments gave a high correlation with linear regression of:[OCT2000]=0.9406×[EG]. Mapping program of retinal thickness in 23 eyes showed correlation coefficient of 0.7609(p<0.001)with renear regression of:[OCT2000]=0.9958×[EG]. Conclusion:Mapping program with OCT 2000 and EG show comparable values of retinal thickness.
