Abstract Purpose: To report the axial length measurement regarding acquisition rate and postoperative refractive error using DCM mode of LENSTAR LS900®.

Cases and Method: This study was made on the consecutive series of 282 eyes of 156 cases who received cataract surgery. The age averaged 74.1±7.7 years. Cases were evaluated regarding acquisition rate by LS900® prior to surgery. Refractive error was evaluated after surgery in eyes with visual acuity of 0.7 or better.

Results: Evaluation by LS900® was good in 243 eyes(89.2%), peak(+)in 27 eyes, and peak(−)in 7 eyes. Postoperative refractive error averaged −0.15±0.49D, −0.07±0.57D, and +0.21±0.60D respectively.

Conclusion: Use of DCM mode of LENSTAR LS900® resulted in higher rate of measurable cases. It was necessary to evaluate the reliability of data by assessing the composite waveform.
