レーザー光凝固により消失した先天性硝子体嚢腫の1例

Successful laser treatment of congenital vitreous cyst. Report of a case

　生来健康な21歳男子の左眼硝子体中に浮遊する直径約3mmの球形，茶褐色の先天性硝子体嚢腫を認めた。嚢腫は移動性を有し，しばしば，黄斑部を覆って突然の視力障害を来していた。超音波検査の結果，内容物が実質性ではなく，硝子体と同様の物質から成ると推定された。

　この嚢腫に対し，2回にわたってアルゴンレーザー光凝固を施行した。凝固はBritt社製レーザー光凝固装置を使用し，1回目は0.7W,200μm,0.02secで20発，2回目は1.0W,400μm,0.05secで3発施行した。その結果，嚢腫はその破片と思われる数個の微小色素片を残して消失し，自覚症状も軽快した。

　本症に対するレーザー光凝固治療の有効性が確認された。

A 21-year-old male presented with a vitreous cyst in his left eye. It was spheric, about 3mm in diameter, brown in appearance and mobile. It frequently caused sudden visual disturbance by intersecting the optic axis. Echography showed the content of the cyst to be similar as the vitreous.

Numerous, short-duration and high-output argon laser application to the cyst led to its disappearance 3 weeks later leaving fine pigmented fragments.
