  • Look Inside

A 45-year-old male manifested an endophyticcapillary angioma adjacent to and temporal to the optic nerve head in his left eye. The angioma was 1/2 DD in size and was surrounded by neovascular membrane. No treatment was performed because of the location of the angioma, normal visual acuity and little tendency for enlargement over a period of 2 years. Vitreous hemorrhage developed 2 years after, apparently originating from the neovascualar membrane. Direct photocoagulation applied to the neovascular membrane prevented recurrence of vitreous hemorrhage.
