最近経験したトラコーマの3例

Chlamydial conjunctivitis in adult (trachoma) : Report of three cases

　急性トラコーマの1例と慢性トラコーマの2例を報告した。これで日本にもまだトラコーマが存在することが明らかになった。患者の周囲に集団発生の傾向はなく，いずれも性体験のある成人女性であることから，封入体性結膜炎の成人型であろうと考えた。

（2）トラコーマは濾胞性結膜炎の代表的疾患である。濾胞形成の著明な症例や難治の濾胞性結膜炎を診たらまずトラコーマを疑って積極的に結膜擦過標本を検査する必要がある。

（3）海外渡航者が年々増加する一方で，性活動も徐々に欧米並に近づいている現状から，このような症例はこれから潜かに増加することが考えられる。我々眼科医はこのような現実に認識を新たにして，わが国におけるChlamydia感染症の実態を明らかにして行かねばならない。

We observed Chlamydial conjunctival infectionin 3 adult females. The condition was in its acute stage in one case and in chronic stage in the other two. Our observations show that Chlamydial con-junctivitis is still present in Japan.

The three patients lived in favorable hygienic environments. There were no cases with infectious conjunctivitis around. The conjunctivitis occurred in each case after sexual activity. As no inclusion bodies could be found by cytology of their vaginal and cervical specimens, it was thought that the present cases do not represent classical trachoma but inclusion conjunctivitis in the adulthood.
