硝子体手術訓練のための一工夫

Educational program for vitreous surgery

　硝子体手術は最近10年間で急速な進歩をとげ，現在では非常に高度なテクニックが要求される。したがって，今後新たに硝子体手術を始める者にとって，手術トレーニングは必須のものとなる。

　我々は実際の手術までにウサギ眼，摘出豚眼を用いて硝子体手術トレーニングを行ったが，豚眼を用いた方が，硝子体腔の大きさや手術の状態が，より人眼の場合に近く，効果的であった。また各種の練習用モデル眼を作成し，段階をおって高度なトレーニングを積んだ結果かなりの効果があった。

Our current program is described for initiating residents into pars plana vitrectomy. Enucleated pork eyes proved to be most appropriate for mock surgery because of the eyesize and the state of the vit-reous. Vitreous opacity was produced by injecting milk into the posterior vitreous.
