白内障手術早期教育の試み

Resident cataract surgery

　眼科入局2年目に，顕微鏡下白内障手術を，経験者の指導下で，40症例集中的に行った。以後年間10数例程度経験した。その結果は次のとおりであった。

（1）40症例教育期間中の硝子体脱出は，平均5.7％であった。

（2）40症例以後は，平均5.3％であった。

（3）術後視力0.5以上得られたものは，65％であった。

（4）1976年から'80年末までに行われた白内障手術合計1,212眼のうち749眼が，教育目的に使用された。

Forty cases of cataract surgery were performed by the second year residents as a part of training program during past five years.

The procedures of the surgery adapted was an ordinary four-plane incision combined with cryo-extraction of the lens.

The average vitreous loss was 5.7% during the training period and 5.3% after finishing it. The visual acuity of more than 0.5 was attained in 65% of the patients.
