  • Look Inside

We performed cataract extraction combined with trabeculectomy on 34 eyes of 30 patients with cataract and various types of manifest glau-coma, with a postsurgical follow-up period of more than six months. Fifteen eyes had angle-closure glaucoma, 10 had open-angle glaucoma and 9 eyes had secondary glaucoma.

The surgical outcome was generally favorable. The intraocular pressure was well controlled without medication in 90% of operated eyes. The facility of outflow by tonography showed marked improvement after the surgery.
