　先天性無眼球症による小眼窩，および人工無眼球症後の萎縮眼窩の各1例に対し，上顎洞粘膜を全眼窩に裏打して眼窩嚢形成を行い良好な結果を得た。

　上顎洞粘膜は採取に耳鼻科的技術を要するが，採取部に目を見える瘢痕を残さず，通例片側で眼窩全体を裏打するに足る量が得られる。また，袋状をしているので採取後の眼窩形成手術は極めて簡単である。粘膜に軽度の炎症があっても利用して差支えない。

We succeeded in reconstructing the orbital socket in 2 cases by transplanting the antral mucosal membrane obtained by Caldwell-Luc approach. The surgery was performed to correct a tiny socket due to congenital anophthalmos in a 16-year-old female and a contracted socket resulting from enu-cleation.

While this procedure necessitates rhinological surgical skill in obtaining the antral mucosa, it entails numerous advantages as follows. The pro-cedure leaves no visible scar at the site of donor material. Usually, it is possible to obtain a suffi-cient quantity of themucosa from one antrum to line the whole socket.
