眼症状を呈した耳鼻科疾患の統計

Statistical studies in otorhinological disease associated with ocular findings

　1978年1月より1979年12月までの2年間に，福島医大眼科を受診した患者のうち，原因が耳鼻科疾患によると考えられた64例について，統計的に検討を加え以下の結果を得た。

（1）年齢は，30〜39歳に最も多く，男性にやや多かった。

（2）耳鼻科的原因疾患としては，副鼻腔炎，上顎洞悪性腫瘍，mucocele・pyoceleの頻度が高く，全体の90％を占めていた。

（3）眼科的自覚症状としては，視力障害，眼球突出，頭痛，眼痛が特に多く，諸症状の60％を占めていた。

（4）眼疾患としては，眼窩腫瘍および球後視神経炎の頻度が高かった。

（5）鼻性頭痛および眼痛は，同一の機序で起こる可能性があることを推測し，鼻性疾患の重要な症状の一つであると考えた。

We evaluated 64 cases with eye problems which were associated with otorhinological disorders during a two-year period (1978-1979). The present series consisted of 36 males and 28 females. As regards the age distribution, the largest group of 13 patients (20%) was aged between 30 and 39 years. Visual disturbance, exophthalmos, headache and eye pain were most common and accounted for 60% of all the subjective symptoms. Sinusitis (42%), malignant maxillary tumor (31%), muco-cele and pyocele (17%) were relatively frequent primary otorhinological disorders.
