3歳児の眼科検診5年間の成績について

Eye care program for 3-year-old children. A 5-year review

　1975年6月から1979年11月までの5年間に松戸保健所が行ったアンケート方式による3歳児健康診査時の眼科検診を行って次の結論を得た。

（1）この方式でスクリーニングされた3歳児を検診して，かなり高率に屈折異常ならびに眼位異常を検出した。したがってこの方式は対象児の多い地域における3歳児の眼異常のスクリーニングとして有効な方法である。

（2）この方式の精度をあげるために，更にアンケート項目，判定指針，家庭における視力測定などについて検討が必要である。

（3）異常者の事後措置を十分に行うには，眼科医の緊密な連絡による一貫した指導が必要である。

A health check plan for the eye in 3-year-old children was conducted by Matsudo City Health Center from 1975 through 1979. A total of 41,528 questionnaires were sent to the parents describing methods of detecting anomalies in visual acuity, eye position etc. 77.6% of the questionnaires were recovered. Suspicious cases were then invited to seek medical advice by an ophthalmologist. A total of 556 3-year-children were thus actually examined.

Out of the children screened out by the question-naire method, consequent ophthalmological ex-amination revealed a fairly high incidence of anoma-lies of refraction and strabismus.
