  • Look Inside

In this report the author tried to examine the correlation of clinical findings with CT in exotro-pia. All scans were performed using a headscanner (EMI 1010) with 160×160 matrix. Of 50 patients with exotropia (20 of intermittent, 20 of constant and 10 associated with alternating hyperphoria), 70% (35/50) showed abnormal CT findings. The major CT findings were divided into six groups: midline anomalies (cavum septi pellucidi, cavum Vergae, cavum veli interpositi and partial agenesis of corpus callosum), cortical atrophy, ventricular dilatation, brainstem atrophy, cerebellar atrophy and low density area.
