周期性外斜視4例

Four cases of cyclic exotropia

　周期性外斜視4例の長期経過を観察した。既報の3例中2例は間歇性外斜視に変化し，うち1例は量的に軽減した。他の1例は2回の手術で良好な経過をとっている。今回追加する男子例は，3歳の初診時に間歇性外斜視があり，2年後に正位と外斜視が混在するようになった。8歳になった現在，外斜視は月に1回程度しか起こっていない。周期性外斜視がときに自然寛解することを示す症例である。

We observed the longterm course of cyclic exotropia in four cases including three cases reported before. Two of the three cases turned into intermittent exotropia with improvement in the angle of exotropia in one case. The third case was brought to cure after two surgeries. The fourth case showed intermittent exotropia when first seen at the age of 3 years. He showed orthophoria with occasional exotropia when seen 2 years later. Now at the age of 8 years, he manifests exotropia only once a month. These cases illustrate that cyclic exotropia may undergo spontaneous cure after long clinical course.
