(1)分枝閉塞症に対するアルゴンレーザー光凝固は新鮮例に対して,黄斑部の出血,浮腫の早期吸収(22例中21例)をはかることができた。
(2)陳旧例では,新生血管増殖,硝子体出血の予防に有効と思われた(10例中7例)。
(3)乳頭上新生血管に対して無血管帯のみを凝固しても滅少がみられない症例に限局性pan retinal photocoagulationを行い,消失がみられた症例があった。
(4)硝子体に変化を伴う症例(3例)に過剰な光凝固を行い,硝子体出血,牽引性網膜剥離を起こした例(3例)があった。
We evaluated the clinical course of 43 eyes (42 cases) with branch retinal vein occlusion for over 6 months. Argon laser photocoagulation was per-formed in 32 eyes (31 cases) treating the whole hemorrhaged retinal area.
In 22 eyes for which photocoagulation was per-formed in less than 6 months after onset, macular edema and hemorrhage disappeared in 4 to 8 weeks in 95% of the treated cases. In 10 eyes with disc and retinal neovascularization, photocoagulation was effective in inducing regression of the disc and retinal neovascularizations in 70% of treated cases when it was performed within 6 months after onset of the disease.
