We evaluated the distribution in size of neovas-cular membrane in 39 eyes (39 cases) with central exudative choroidopathy by means of rapid sequ-ence fluorescein angiography. The cases included 16 males and 23 females ranging from 14 to 50 years in age. We also tried to identify the specific choroidal layer from which the neovascularization originated.

The sizes of submacular neovascular network was generally small. It was smaller than 1/3 DD in 7 eyes (18%), between 1/3 and 2/3 DD in 21 (54%), between 2/3 and 1 DD in 9 (23%) and equal to or larger than 1 DD in 2 eyes (6%). It was thus smal-ler than 2/3 DD in 28 eyes (72%).
