The coronal section of the orbit in computed tomography

緒　言

　CT（Computcd Tomography）により，眼窩部の影像を求める場舎，理論的には，およそ三つの方向からの切断が考えられる。すなわち，水平断，冠状断，および矢状断の三つである（図1），この中，水平断を行なう場合の断面の設定条件については，著者らはすでに述べた^1）。今回は，眼窩部においてもその有用性が認められてきた冠状断層撮影（Coronal Section）に関して^2〜6），冠状断実施の際に，常に一定の部位，方向でこの部を切ることができるとすれば，いかに条件を設定したらよいかを検討した。装置としてはACTA-0200−FSを用いた。

A coronal section of the orbit by computed tomography offers certain valuable features in the diagnosis of orbital lesions including hypertrophied extraocular muscles in Grave's disease. The routine coronal sectioning, however, results in poor quality due to the presence of metal used in the treatment of carietic teeth. We contrived a practical means to obtain coronal section of the orbit utilizing a series of 15 horizontal setions of the orbit processed by multiplanar reconstruction program and display system built in our ACTA 0200-FS.
