Funduscopical analysis of Posner Schlossrnan's syndrome as a model of an early sign of chronic open-angle glaucoma

緒　言

　ある程度進行した緑内障では視神経乳頭は定形的な陥凹と萎縮を示し，視野にも定形的な欠損が証明される。しかし何の症状，所見もない眼において，わずかの眼圧上昇が出没し，それが続いているときに，どのような症状，所見がどのように出現し，進行するものかについては全く知られていない。最近Hoyt^1）は網膜神経線維層の弓形の欠損が緑内障の他覚的初期症状となりうることを推定している。現在動物実験により慢性型の実験モデルを作ることは尚技術的な困難がある。

　Posncr-Schlossman's syndromeは何れの例も短いときは1〜2日，長くとも8〜10日以内で終る比較的高くないレベルの眼圧上昇が時折り繰り返して起こるという，かなり限定された条件により規定されている自然界の優れた実験モデルともいえる。

The funduscopical analysis of four cases with Posner-Schlossman's syndrome as a model of an early progressive sign of chronic open-angle glau-coma was attempted by stereoscopic color fundus photography at 8x magnification.

The observed RNFL defects were without doubt caused as the cumulative effect of intermittently elevated intraocular pressure in Posner-Schlossman syndrome.

The observable early progressive fundus chan-ges caused by increased intraocular pressure were classified into five stages.
