潜伏性下斜筋過働症の1例とそのベクトルEOG

A case report of latent overaction of inferior oblique muscle

　下斜筋過働症は，上斜筋過働症と共に，従来は眼筋麻痺と誤られて処置されていることが多かつたが，近年この診断に注意が向けられる様になり手術的治療法も又発達し多くの治験例が報告されている。

　著者等は今度，潜伏性に下斜筋過働を示す1例に遭遇し，当初その診断がつかず，たまたま新しい眼筋機能検査法であるベクトルEOGを行つたところ，その所見に眼筋麻痺を認めず，逆に過働と思われる所見を得て，診断し得た経験を得たのでここに報告する。

A case of latent overaction of right inferior oblique, often mistaken for paresis of supe-rior oblique, was reported. The patient had asthenopic complaints from childhood on. Overaction or the right inferior oblique with excyclophoria of the eye was detected through examination with vector-electro-oculography with negative signs of paresis in any extra-ocular muscles.
