調節麻痺及び調節性眼精疲労におけるAmbenonium chloride （Mytelase）の使用例—Cholimesteraseと眼精疲労の関連性について

The treatment with Ambenonium chloride:(Mytelase) in weakness of accommodation and accommodative asthenopia

緒言

　私は最近調節衰弱調節性眼精疲労，眼瞼下垂等の患者に就いて米国Winthrop会社製のAmbe—nonium Chloride （Mytelase）を使用してみた所疾患によつては従来の薬品と比べてかなり優れた成績を得たので報告する。なおAmbenoniumChlorideは米国では内科方面で幾多の発表がある外，その注射薬は外科手術後の腸蠕動にも応用されている。本邦では東京大学沖中内科で臨床使用例の研究が発表され重症筋無力症に用いられている。眼科的にも既に使用されていると思われるが本邦での眼科的報告は見られない様なので，未だ数例に試みたに過ぎないが臨床医の立場から詳細な報告は後日に譲る事にして取りあえず茲に報告する。

Recently, a new cholinergic drug, Ambenonium chloride (Mytelase) was abstract synthe sized. In 1955, Schwab and later others discovered, that this drug possessed an anticho linesterase activity greater than neostigmine methylsulfate.

In America, this drug is now used for internal medicine and proved the effectiveness in the treatment of myasthenia gravis. Accorfding to the latest report, it has been used in the prophylaxisis and treatment of postoperative abdominal distention and/or urinary retention.
