肥大性眼瞼外反の症例と手術

A case of the ectropium palpebrae hypertrophicans and its operation

　肥大性眼瞼外反は又増殖性眼瞼外反とも呼ばれるものでトラコーマ，瞼板炎等のために下眼瞼が病的に肥厚した際，眼瞼自己の重量により外反したり，又は結膜組織の増殖のために押出されたものである。比較的稀ではあるが原因も不明であるし，又その結膜炎の治療に就ても不満足のことが多い。従つて外反は原因療法と云うことも不可能であるから専ら手術療法を実施する以外には方法がない。

　本症に就ては何れの成書にも一応記載されているが，本症の原因を明確にしたものはない。私共は最近本症の一例に就て手術療法に成功し且つその組織学的所見に就ても一知見を得たので報告することにした。

The authors reported one case of bilateral hypertrophic ectropion of the lid of a man aged 16 years, its histological findings and its operation. Histologically, it was the granu-lated chronic inflammation of the conjunctival tissues and the authors noted remarkable acanthosis and hypertrophy of the Henle's gland as the characteristic findings.

As the method of operation the authors adopted the Kuhnt's original method with the Snellen's suture and sutured the skin with the tarsus. The results were excellent.
