Syndrome of mucocutaneous margin and eye disease:1.Conjunctivitis vernalis

　眼・鼻・口・陰部・肛門等の皮膚粘膜移行部に病変を現す一連の症候群がある。

　1）眼；眼球結膜炎，瀰漫性表層角膜炎・角膜鼻側血管侵入，眼瞼縁炎等

Syndrome of mucocutaneous margin develops in various eye diseases, and especially chei-losis and diffuse superficial keratitis are frequently observed. In many of these cases, beriberi, accommodation asthenia and relative central scotoma appeacr. These symptoms arefound also in conjunctivitis vernalis.

The causes of this syndrome are considered to be avitaminosis, nutrtional disturbances and abnormal vital reactions. Proper nutritional guidance has achieved the improvements of these symptoms as well as serious conjunctivitis vernalis accompanied with corneai ulceration.
