1．まえがき

　高血圧症，動脈硬化症などの診断，特に予後判定に眼底所見の果す役割は極めて大きいが，その肉眼的所見のみでは主観の入る余地を避けることが出来ない。そこで眼底所見に関連し，然もこれを裏付けることの出来る，より客観的な資料が得られるならばこれに過ぎるものはない。

　この意味から，網膜中心動脈乃至眼内動脈の血圧値を客観的に測定することが出来れば，その臨床的価値は大きい。

Corneal pulsation wave curves recorded with the electronic sphyngmotonometer is found to be the mirror-image curves of the pulsation wave of intraocular pressure, and this is evidenced by the fact that the curvature of the cornea becomes small during the systole synchronously with the pulsation wave of intraocular pressure.
