眼精疲労及び其の治療効果の統計的観察

Statistical Observation of Asthenopia and Its Treatment.

1．緒言

　眼の疲労については極めて旧くから知られて居りDemosthenesは之をα'τoνεα'Oφθαλυων眼の無力症と名付けた。眼の使用ということは，人間の健康な状態に於ては殆んど全く無意識の中に行われているのであるが，何等かの原因で意識的に努力しなければならなくなつたり，或は努力しても目的を達し得ない様になることがある。かゝる時の一つの症状群に対し1843年にSir WilliamMackenzieが初めてAsthenopie眼精疲労という名を提唱した。

　其の原因についてはDondersが1864年に屈折及び調節に重大な関係があることを指摘して以来v．Graefe等により内直筋及び毛様筋の関与が強調され，更にStevens等によつて斜位に原因するものが研究され，最近ではAmes等によつて不等像Aniseiconiaによるものが追加された。

The author statistically observed 381 patients with the chief complaint of Asthenopia who were picked up from 1,873 outpaiente of Inoue Clinic, Surugadai, Tokyo, and foll-wed up their results of treatment against Asthenopia. Asthenopia pationts were 20.74% of all the ophthalmic patients, and this percentage was considerably higher than that of the past in Japan. The patients had about two kinds of causative diseases in the average. Asthenopia symptomatica was the most of them, 51.56%. 25.37% of them was caused from refractional disorder. As.accommodative was 9.74%. 9.61% was caused from biocu-lar visual disorder.
