クロロキン網膜症の臨床像—とくに発病後の進行に関する要因について

Chloroquine Retinopathy: Long-term followup after Discontinuation of Chloroquine

緒言

　クロロキン網膜症の臨床上，特に重要な問題点は，一旦発病すればクロロキン投与を中止しても治癒する事はほとんどなく，むしろ，進行，悪化する症例が多い事である。軽快，改善を見たという報告^1〜3）もあるが，過半が投薬中止後も症状は進行，悪化するという^4〜6）．

　今回，われわれは，このクロロキン投与中止後の進行性に関与する諸要因について検討したので，ここに報告する。

The fundus changes of chloroquine retinopa-thy often progress to severe retinal degenera-tion even after discontinuation of chloroquine. The condition remains stationary in some cases and no decrease of vision sets in.

We followed up 11 cases of chloroquine for longer periods ranging from 16 months to 11 years and up. The retinopathy remained sta-tionary in 5 cases accompanied with no decre-ase in vision. The fundus changes of all these cases were detected in the early stage and the administration of chloroquine was stopped.
