光凝固に対して特異な経過を示した糖尿病性網膜症における大静脈瘤の一例

A Case of Peculiar Overgrowth of Diabetic Varix into Large Loops Following Direct Photocoagulation

緒言

　糖尿病性網膜症における静脈のビーズ玉状拡張（beading）は，若年ないし中年の病期の進行した患者に時々見られる所見であるが，このビーズ玉状の静脈拡張の極度進行型とも見られる大静脈瘤の症例に遭遇し，これに光凝固療法を行なつたところ，特異な経過をたどつたので，ここに眼底写真とともに報告する。

A case of peculiar overgrowth of diabetic large varix and venous beadings into large loo-ps after direct photocoagulation was reported. Direct photocoagulation on vessel wall itself of large varix and venous beading could rather accelerate narrowing of the lumen with con-sequent venous pressure elevation, weaken thewall resistence and thus worsen the angiopa-thy.
