光凝固法による糖尿病性網膜症の治療

Photocoagulation in the Therapy of Diabetic Retinopathy

I．緒言

　糖尿病性網膜症，殊に急速に進展増悪し，網膜前出血，硝子体出血をくりかえす症例にたいして従来いろいろな治療法が報告されているが，的確なものはなく，結局は失明状態になつてしまうものが決して稀ではない。

　今回，このような症例にたいして，光凝固（東独ツァイス製光凝固装置を使用）を試み，その効果を検討すると共に，凝固前後における病巣の変化を螢光眼底撮影法で追跡してみた。

Photocoagulation has been performed in the treatment of 3 eyes of 2 patients with diabetic retinopathy accompanied with proliferative le-sion or rete mirabile. This series is too small and the length of follow-up too short to allow for any valid conclusions, but some clinical observations seem to prove that this therapy deserves further study.

In the decision on the indication, extent and degree of photocoagulation, fluorescein fundus photography before and after treatment has been found to be of great value.
