Abstract 文献概要

　滲出物が黄斑部に及ぶ糖尿病性輪状網膜症に対して光凝固を施行した10例について検討を加え，次の結果を得た．

　①光凝固後，滲出物の減少は10例全例に認め，7例でほぼ消失した．

　②視力の改善は4例に認め，不変例は凝固前の黄斑部の滲出物が著明な症例であった．

　③糖尿病性輪状網膜症に対する光凝固は有効であるが，視力改善のためには，黄斑部の滲出物が軽度な時期に施行することが重要であると考えられる．

Argon laser photocoagulation was applied to 10 eyes in 10 diabetic patients with circinate lesions involving the macula. The circinate fatty deposits decreased in allthe cases and completely disappeared in 7 eyes. The visual acuity improved in 4 eyes. In the majority of eyes without improvement in visual acuity, the macular deposits used to be very dense, suggesting that irrevers-ible structural damage had occurred before laser treat-ment. The present findings are a further evidence that diabetic circinate retinopathy has to be treated at an early stage before seriously involving the macula.
