  • Look Inside

A case of hemangioma of the choroid with secondary detachment of the retina was clini-cally diagnosed. After photocoagulation treat-ments, retinal detachment disappeared completely and hemangioma shrank into a scar. The con-clusions drawn from this case and other cases previously reported are as follows :

1) Hemangioma of the choroid is not so rare as has been thought.

2) Hemangioma of the choroid may be properly understood as a type of cutaneo-meningouveal angiomatosis including Sturge-Weber syndrome.
