緑内障外来における水負荷試験成績

The Water Provocative Test in Glaucoma Clinic

緒言

　原発性緑内障の早期診断法として各種の負荷試験，Tonography，視野等の早期変化があげられ，検討されている。水負荷試験は飲水試験ともいわれ，Schmidt^1）（1928）の報告以来多数の追試報告がみられ，現在では負荷試験中でも良く利用される方法の一つである。特に広隅角緑内障に対する早期診断法の一助として有用性が注目されている。

　一般に広隅角緑内障の早期診断は困難で，しかも徐々に視機能の荒廃を惹起し，患者の自覚症状により診療した場合は，著しく病期の進行していることが多い。早期診断法の確立が急がれる訳で，種々の負荷試験，誘発試験が検討され，おのおの長短が論ぜられている。

Water provocative test is one of the widely used provocative test for the early diagnosis on the open angle glaucoma. In this paper clinical data of the test at the glaucoma clinic of Sa-pporo Medical College were reported. 188 cases (376eyes) were subjects for the test, including a) open angle glaucoma 56 case (112 eyes -156 times), b) open angle glaucoma suspect 85 case 170 eyes-214 times) and c) normal 47 cases (94 eyes-100 times). Intraocular pressure estimated with Schiotz tonometer at ten, twenty, thirty, forty-five and sixty minutes after one liter water ingestion.
