小児の硝子体混濁について（予報）

Vitreous Opacity in Infants. A Preliminary Report

緒言

　近来小児の視力障害の原因の一つとして重要視されているHoganらのいわゆるChronic Cy—clitisについては，以前われわれは症例報告^1）を行なつたが，今回症例は少ないが本症に関係の深い小児の硝子体混濁について，予報として発表する。

Ninety-four children of less than 15 years of age with visual impairment as chief complaints have been analyzed as to the possible presence of vitreous opacity. Vitreous opacity as minute floaters in the anterior vitreous was detected by slitlamp microscopy in 71 instances. Chronic cyclitis and instability of the autonomic nervous system are suspected as major causes of the observed vitreous opacity in children.
