Phacolytic Glaucomaの1例

A CASE OF PHACOLYTIC GLAUCOMA

緒言

　水晶体由来の緑内障中，過熟白内障に併発するものについては，古くから種々の呼名で報告されている。Flocksら^1）は本症の多数例について臨床的，病理学的に検討し，phacolytic glaucomaとして一疾患単位に一括した。その後，同様な機序の緑内障は過熟白内障にのみでなく，水晶体実質が房水中に出現する状態にあれば生ずることが確かめられ，迅速な水晶体摘出と前房洗浄を行なうことが強調されている。著者らは組織学的に本症の1例を検討したので報告する。

The completely blind right eye of an 86-year-old female, suspected with a cataract for 10 years, was enucleated with a clinical diagnosis of "absolute glaucoma".

Histologic studies showed phacolytic glaucoma with lens-induced uveitis. Liquofaction of the lens cortex, degeneration of the posterior cap-sule and macrophages swollen with phagocytos-ed lens material and blocked the filtration appa-ratus, are found.

Chronic inflammatory features in the uvea and degenerative changes in the peripheral reti-na indicated moreover the complication of lens-induced uveitis.
