非球面レンズの白内障眼鏡Ⅱ—楕円面レンズについて

序

　眼鏡レンズのほとんどは球面またはトーリック面に磨かれたものだが，無水晶体眼に主として使われる強度凸レンズつまり白内障眼鏡においては，その一面を球面ではなく非球面とすることにより，強度凹レンズの場合とは違つた利点が期待されることから，戦前のZeiss製その他の非球面白内障眼鏡レンズが開発されていた。しかし非球面のこの種の活用が目的とした所は，非点収差の理論的な除去にもつぱら関心が向けられ，レンズの光学的性状を眼鏡装用時の視機能に結びつけた検討が十分になされていたとはいえなかつた。前報^1）において双曲面の強度凸レンズを無水晶体症例に眼鏡として調整使用せしめた結果を，球面レンズ眼鏡およびコンタクレンズ使用の場合と比較して報告したが，その後試作した楕円面レンズを上記と同一症例に使用させ，3種の眼鏡装用時の視機能を比較検討できたのでここに報告する。

Three kinds of spectacles fitted with spherical, hyperboloidal or ellipsoidal lenses respectively were prepared for three aphakic patients. Each patient prefered the spectacles with ellipsoidal lenses. The acuity of vision at oblique gaze,the field of vision and the distortion of space perception were examined when the patients were wearing each spectacles, The results obtained were discussed in the light of the optical properties of the spectacle lenses.
