Experience in Surgical Treatment of Angiomatosis retinae

I．緒言

　Angiomatosis retinaeの治療については，これまでに各種の方法が試みられている。本疾患の進行を阻止するためには，初期の血管腫を外科的に破壊することが最も重要かつ効果的であるとされており，Weveら（1939年）がジアテルミーで血管腫の凝固に成功し，その後Meyer-Schwickerath （1959年）が光凝固による治験例で好成績をあげて以来，多数の前記方法による治療報告がなされている。

　最近では冷凍手術法の進歩とともに，本法の各種眼疾患の治療への応用が企てられており，Lincoffら^7），Amoilsら^1）の冷凍凝固による血管腫の治療成績が報告されている。

This report was made of a case of retinal an-giomatosis treated by means of photocoagu-lation and cryosurgery.

The patient, a 46-years-old male, diagnosed bilateral retinal angiomatosis and advised to have surgery of the right eye at another hos-pital, was seen on February 17, 1969.

By photocoagulation performed on March⑥, a solitary peripheral angioma in the right eye was treated with no full success, but progress of the disease and operative complications had not been observed. Cryotherapy subsequently attempted on July 31, appeared to destroy the angioma without operative complications.
