  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A case of congenital factor V (proaccelerin) deficiency resulting in pseudohemophilia is repor-ted. A 22-month-old female child who had a history of idiopathic intestine and oral hemorr-hage and skin petechiae suffered a head trauma while falling from a chair. Through ophthal-moscopy for a fundus check, slight papilledema, retinal hemorrhage around the disc and hemorr-hagic spots in the macula were detected in the left eye. While the papilledema seems to have resulted from the subdural hematoma with consequent increase of intracranial pressure, the retinal hemorrhage is ascribed to the hemorr-hagic diathesis of the patient.
