ソケット部分形成（Partial Socket Reconstruction）について

A Case of Partial Socket Reconstruction

I．まえおき

　外傷や慢性炎症による結膜の瘢痕化や結膜下の線維組織の増殖（fibrosis）に起因するソケット（結膜嚢）の収縮は，われわれがしばしば経験するものである。このようなソケットの収縮が著明で，義眼の挿入の困難な場合には，いわゆるソケット形成が必要となる。

　ソケット形成には，全形成と部分形成とがある。一般に，ソケットの収縮が，ソケット全体に及ぶほど著明な場合には，全形成の行なわれる場合が多い。一方，ソケットの収縮が部分的なものすなわち，結膜の瘢痕化や結膜下のfibrosisがソケットの一部に限局しているものでは，部分形成が可能である。私は，このソケット部分形成の症例を経験したので報告する。

In a case of partial socket contraction, which was caused by irritation due to expulsion of the implant for the artificial eye and conjunctival scarring, the authors attempted a partial recon-struction of the socket using a moderately thin split-skin graft and obtained good results.

Partial socket reconstruction is more excellent than total one in respect of motililty the eyelid and little tendency toward entropion and abnor-mality of external canthus.

So, when only a part of the socket is mode-rately contracted, good results would be ob-tained by partial socket reconstruction.
