糖尿病性網膜症の治療に対する二，三の考察について

Attempts at Medical Treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy

I．はじめに

　現在のところ糖尿病性網膜症の治療に関して，根本的には糖尿病の内科的コントロールが基礎的治療法であり，眼科領域ではもつばら対症療法が行なわれている。

　今回われわれは糖尿病性網膜症の一治療法として，主として脂血清浄作用，脱コレステロール作用などがあるとされているデキストラン硫酸の一製剤であるMDSを使用し，全身的な面からの治療効果を検討し，あわせて対症療法として最近種々なる網膜症に用いられているVB₁，VB₆，VB₁₂の合剤であるVitamedin使用例と，また従来よりその効果を認められているATP製剤の腸溶錠を用いた症例につき，おのおの治療効果について比較検討した結果をここに報告する。

A total of 33 diabetic subjects with various grades of diabetic retinopathy were treated by systemic administration of either MDS (dextran sulfate derivative), Vitamedin (Vitamin B com-plex) or ATP tablets while simultaneously undergoing routine treatments for control ofblood sugar level.

1. Out of 15 cases treated by administration of MDS, the visual acuity increased in 6 cases, improvement in fundus findings set in 6 cases and remained stationary in the remaining 3 cases throughout the observation period which ranged from 8 to 53 months.
