眼科領域における抗炎症酵素剤ブロメラインの使用経験

Use of Proteolytic Enzyme (Bromelain) in Ophthalmology

I．緒言

　最近酵素化学の進歩により，蛋白分解酵素に抗炎症作用があることが解明され，臨床面に広く応用されるようになつた。

　ブロメラインはパイナップルの茎汁から抽出した蛋白分解酵素で，従来の動物性蛋白分解酵素と異なつて植物性であることが特徴である。ブロメラインの効果については既に多くの報告があるが，著者は今回ブロメライン製剤アナナーゼを2,3の眼疾患に使用する機会を得たのでその成績をここに報告し，かつその抗炎症機序について考察をしてみた。アナナーゼは1錠中にブロメライン20mg （50,000ローラー単位）を含む腸溶剤である。

Bromelain (Ananase ), a newly developed pro-teolytic enzyme, was systemically administe-red to 65 cases which mainly consisted of cha-lazion, hordeolum and postoperative conditions for strabismus. As a rule 3 tablets were given as daily dosis, each tablet containing 20mg of bromelain.

1. Excellent antiinflammatory effect was noted in 55 cases (85%) of studied 65 cases.

2. All the 10 cases in which the therapy was ineffective, happened to be among the 21 cases with hordeolum. The remaining 11 cases reacted favorably to the treatment.
