白内障術前の網膜感電力検査

Electrical Phosphene Test before Cataract Operation

　白内障手術が奏効した122眼（99人）について，術前の網膜感電力指数と術後の視力とを比較検討してみた。

　一般に，感電力と術後の視力との間には平行的関係を有し，感電力検査が白内障術後の予後を推定する上に大いに価値があることを認めた。

　例外として，網膜色素変性を伴なつているものは感電力がわるいにもかかわらず，中心視力が大幅に回復する場合が多かつた。このように，若干の例外は認められるが，例外の中にも術前からある程度その結果を予想できた場合が多かつた。

Electrical Phosphene Tester, Fujii (Handaya Co. Ltd., Tokyo), was used for 122 eyes (99 patients) with cataract before operation. The Index Number of Electrical Phosphene (IV, Ⅲ, Ⅱ, Ⅰ or 0) was compared with the corrected visual acuity of each eye after the cataract operation.

It was found that patients with better Index Numbers before operation tended to have better visual acuity after operation. One of the excep-tions to this was that the visual acuity of the patients with retinal pigment degeneration improved well despite the low Index Number before operation.
