ショーグレン症候群に関する研究

Lysozyme Studies on Sjögren's Syndrome.

I．緒言

　ショーグレン症候群は我が国に於いてもここ十数年の間に多くの報告例があり板垣氏須田氏等の詳細な研究がなされているが未だにその病因は不明であり診断及び治療法も確立されていない。我々は最近7例の本症候群患者の検索を行い次の様な結果を得た。

The lysozyme content in the lacrimal fluid was determined by first instilling a known amount of Micrococcus lysodeicteicus suspen-sion into the cul-de-sac of the patient and by counting the number of colony after inocula-tion of lacrimal fluid obtained 10, 20 and 30 seconds respectively after the initial proced-ure. There was a constant, striking decrease in the amount of lysozyme content in the lacrimal fluid in 7 patients with the syndrome of Sjögren as compared with 22 normal sub-jects. There was also a constant decrease in lysozyme content in the serum of 7 patients with the syndrome determined by similar pro-cedures.
