慢性結膜炎に見られる眼精疲労と頭部圧痛点の統計的観察

Observations on the Pain Spot of the Head in Asthenopia due to Conjunctivitis.

I．緒言

　1943年，Sir William Mackenzieが初めて眼精疲労Asthenopiaと云う名称を提唱して以来，本症について原因症候分類治療のすべてにわたり詳細な研究が行なわれてきたが，我国最近における急激な社会思潮の変化に伴う各年代間思想，感情の個人差の増大や産業，交通，技術の発展などによる生活リズムの破綻が背景となり，近年急増していることが諸家により指摘されている。眼精疲労の中に症候性As．Symptomaticaと呼ばれるものがあり，その原因のひとつに我国に極めて広汎にみられる慢性結膜炎が数えられていることは周知の通りである。

　然し，私達は日常の診察に最も多いはずの慢性結膜炎の患者から眼精疲労をみつけだすと云うことは従来殆どなかつたのではなかろうか。これは，今にして気付いたことではあるが，患者は最も心安い私達開業医を訪れた時でさえも，眼症状についてだけ訴えるが眼精疲労の重要な全身症状—頭痛肩凝り睡眠障害胃腸障害および尖端恐怖症—については何ひとつ語らないためであつた。

A clinical inquiry was made into the rela-tionship between the asthenopia and pressure pain in the head in 884 cases of chronic con-junctivitis and following conclusions were ob-tained:

1. Out of 884 chronic conjunctivitis cases studied, the author could detect in 678 cases the presence of four pain spots in the head induced by digital pcessure (these cases are referred to as 'positive group'), while in the remaining 206 cases this phenomenon was ab-sent (to be referred to as 'negative group').
