  • Abstract

A description is presented of a newly inve-nted contact lens for presbyopic eyes. The contact lens is shaped like a boomerang and, when in use, is to lie with the concave side directed upwards. when the wearer looks at distant objects, the contact lens does not aff-ect vision as it lies outside of the pupil. Wh-en in reading, the wearer is expected to look through the contact lens with his gaze direc-ted downwards. This newly developed conta-ct lens promises to be practical through lack of irritation and its adaptability to the eye as evinced by clinical tests in volunteers.
