  • Look Inside

In this report, 20 cases of verified intracra-nial tumor and 52 of various optic nerve le-sions with no brain tumors were studied by cerebral angiography.

1. In the series of 20 cases with intracra-nial tumors (except those in the chiasmal region), choked disk was noted in 17. Two cases showed postneuritic optic atrophy andone presented almost no abnormality except for slight pallor of the disk.

2. Postoperative visual function was favo-rable in those cases in which space-occupying lesion could be demonstrated by cerebral an-giography and adequate neurosurgical treat-ment was performed before optic atrophy set in.
