当帰（Ligusticum acutilobum Sieb, et Zucc．）の家兎眼圧に及ぼす影響に関する実験的研究

Experimental studies on the hypotensive action of Ligusticum acutilobum in rabbit eyes.

I．はしがき

　我々の教室では従来より種々の漢薬が試みられて来たが，未だ経験的治療の域を出ず，かねてよりその基礎的研究の必要性が痛感されていた。

　今回我々が研究の対照に選んだ当帰は，繖形科に属する宿根草タウキLigusticum acutilobum Sieb. et Zucc. の根で，川芎と共に芳香性を有する代表的和漢薬の1つであり，温性浄血，鎮静鎮痛，強壮薬として貧血症及び婦人病に用いられて来た事が本草綱目の記載にもみられる。又さきの鈴木教授の報告によれば，皇漢眼科に於いて当帰が緑内障治療薬の1つとてし多用されていた事が指摘されているところから，今回は臨床実験に先立つて，当帰の家兎眼圧及び血圧に及ぼす影響について実験したのでその一端を第1報として報告する。

　Ligusticum actilobum Sieb. et Zucc., the root of which has long been used for treatment of glaucoma in oriental medicine since as long as Ming period, (1368-1662A. D. ) has been tested in rabbits.

　Experimental method ; Rabbits were used, and the arterial bl000d pressure and aquous intraoccular pressure were measured with electric manometer.

　Decoction of the said agent, whent, injected intravenously in rabbits, produced a temporary fall in systemic blood pressure for 10 minutes followed by a more moderate and more lasting fall for about 50 minutes.
