打撲による外傷性低眼圧に併発した鬱血乳頭及び網膜症に対する鞏膜短縮術の効果

The effects of scleral infolding of chamlin on contusion hypotony with papilledema and retinopathy

Ⅰ．緒言

　眼内手術後に生ずる低眼圧は稀な合併症ではないが，非穿孔性外傷による低眼圧（Contusionhypotony）は，Leplat^7）（1890）が最初に報告し，更に，Collins （1916）はこの低眼圧の成因について検討しているが，その後この低眼圧の報告並に治療については，内外の文献に散見されるに過ぎない。

　著者は鬱血乳頭及び網膜症を伴つたContusionhypotonyの一例に鞏膜短縮術を行つて，良好な結果を得たので報告する。

Therapeutic resulfs over a case of contusion hypony with a marked chocked-disk and retinopathy are reported.

A student of 17, while playing baseball, had his right eye injured. Soon after he noticed visual disturbance and came to hospital for treatment.

The visual activity decreased in spite of medication.

As it was then found that the choked disk and retinopathy were caused by hypotony of the intraocular pressure, the scleral infolding operation of Chamlin was performed in the temporal quadrant with the intention of redu-cing the volume of the globe and raising the intraocular pressure.
