Treatment with Fibrinolysin in the eye disease

　線維素溶解酵素Fibrinolysinは正常血液中には不活性型のProfibrinolysinとして存在している。Profibrinolysinは時に応じて活性化され主とし線維素及び線維素原を溶解する。

　最近人血漿から分離精製されたFibrinolysinが強力かつ特異的な線維素溶解能力を持ち，しかも副作用の少いことから，いろいろな血栓性又は塞栓性疾患の治療に応用されるに至つている。

Sixty-three cases with various kinds of eye condition were treated using Fibrinolysin Human Lyovac (Merck). The results were sammarized as follows :

i) Five patients with retinal vein thrombo-sis and 3 patients with retinal artery obstr-uction were treated with fibrinolysin by continuous intravenous infusion. 50,000 units to 150,000 units were given in a day at a rate of 50,000 units per an hour for 2 to 3 days.

The treatment was very successful in all of 5 cases with retinal vein thrombosis.

The effect in one of three cases with in-complete retinal artery occlusion was very satisfactory. However.
