高安・大西症候群（所謂脈なし病）の本態

Entity of Takayasu-Ohnishi's syndrome (So-called pulseless disease)

I．緒言

　本症を従来日本では高安病と呼んでいたが，清水・佐野^25）によつて脈なし病と命名され，西洋では，上記両様の名称も通用するが，それ以上にAortic Arch Syndromeの名が用いられている。

　本症の発見は，高安によつて眼症状殊に眼底変化が，大西によつて両側橈骨動脈脈搏不触が報告された事に発端したものであるが，現在其の本態不明なるが故にこれを高安病でなくて高安・大西病というべきである事を私^4）は主張した。

Investigating 64 cases with indisputable Takayasu-Ohnishi's disease which are collected from the medical literature in Japan, pathogenesis of 3 cases is certainly syphilis and that of 4 cases is probably' tuberculosis. In addition, 21 cases (32.8%) have pulselessness or weak pulsation of the arteries of the lower extremities. It is decided that at least 4 cases of these have no other pathogenesis than Winiwarter-Buerger's disease, because these cases have characteristic retinal hemorrhage, specific X-ray arteriographic finding of the upper extremities, or symptoms of cerebral type of Buerger's disease.
